The Government is relaxing the requirement to wear face coverings in some settings from 19th July. However, current Public Health England guidance outlining the legal requirements around masks states:
‘Face coverings are needed in NHS settings, including hospitals and primary or community care settings, such as GP surgeries.’
The safety of our patients, and the staff delivering their care, must be paramount. This is why we are asking our patients to continue to wear face coverings when visiting this practice post-19 July.
If you choose not to wear a face covering without a valid exemption, you may be asked to wait outside for your appointment and the doctor or nurse you are due to see may decide to see you via an online consultation instead. Please do not take offence at this measure: this is in the interest of everyone’s safety.
Thank you.
